Before airplanes, cars, and railroads was the Mississippi. I can only imagine how vital it was to the growth of America as the only artery for produce from the Midwest to foreign markets and for goods the other way. It really exudes a feeling of timelessness.

I am reading daily to see where you travel. I have never travelled across the US by car so I am very interested in your trip. Thanks for the pictures today. Please be careful while on the road!
