Santa Fe, NM continued

Trip miles 2488
Daily miles 181

The 'short' hop today was to pick up Junior Nomad from Albuquerque airport.

On the way back I took Route 285 again, which was slightly out of the way but absolutely stunning, one of the best roads I've ever been on. The two big sky pics from yesterday were taken on that road.

Today we're off to Arizona.

Arizona and New Mexico have beautiful scenery. If you have enough points, try the sopapillas. They're regional to the southwest and always delicious when they are piping hot!

Nomad! You're my hero! What a great trip - I spent a good portion of my life savings on art while in Santa Fe - so fab. In case you and Junior end up in my hometown, please call the parents, they'd LOVE to host for a night. And would serve better wine than the Days Inn, Albequerque, most likely. Be sure and take the winding road from Santa Fe to Taos if you're heading north. It's GORGEOUS.

The scenery is indeed amazing! I have so many pictures it will take time to sort them out. I'll definitely try to say hi to people I know on the trip, so I may indeed see people's folks!
